ABOUT NICK CROSS

Nick Cross is an 18-year-old indie folk-rock singer-songwriter from Teesside. Before focusing on his original music, he played hundreds of covers gigs as a solo artist and in bands across Teesside from the age of 13, supporting Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Ben Ottewell (Gomez) and Mark Morriss (The Bluetones) along the way, while gradually introducing his own songs into his live sets.

Nick is now focused entirely on his own material. He is currently gigging a solo acoustic set built around songs from his newly released EP Demo Sessions 1, and new songs from his upcoming Demo Sessions 2 EP, due in 2027.

His songs are melodic and honest. His strong vocal sits alongside acoustic guitar playing that is sometimes driving, sometimes delicate and intricate- think Lindsey Buckingham meets Richard Ashcroft- creating intimate songs with enough presence to fill the room.

The Demo Sessions project

Nick released his first four-track EP, Demo Sessions 1, in August 2026 and is currently performing songs from the release alongside new songs from Demo Sessions 2, due in 2027.

The Demo Sessions project will consist of three EPs, each capturing Nick’s songs in the stripped-back way they were first written. Each release will be followed by a run of intimate solo acoustic shows.

Once all three EPs have been released and toured, Nick’s indie folk-rock band will transform the songs for their debut album before taking the album out on tour.
